Vineyard Renovations

Winter 2022

Our vineyard was established circa 1991 with several changes and subdivisions over the years. The Curly Goose overlooks 1.5 acres of Cabernet grapes and Stage 1 renovations commenced in July.

In preparation for pruning and growing season we removed and replaced close to 300 timber posts as well as a section of dead vines. The installation of fruiting wire, upgrade to the irrigation system and pump house are due to be completed before Spring. The aged vineyard posts will be repurposed to clad the pump house and form raised beds to establish the botanical garden.

The completion of the works will set the scene for Stage 2 renovations in 2023. The second stage will re-establish the Eastern boundary vineyard with Pinot Gris and more than double our growing capacity.
